Description:
USAFCENT requires contractor support to provide oversight, management, continuity and technical assistance on all communications platforms to units across the Area of Responsibility (AOR) and Shaw AFB.

Summary:
Support the maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of IT systems to include tracking of hardware during removal/replacement, repair cycle, acquisition requests and disposal requests. Participate in meetings and seminars and provide Monthly Status Reports. Provide perform hardware Remedial Maintenance (RM) and Preventative Maintenance (PM) to maintain the equipment at 90% availability. When outages or emergencies occur, provide prioritized service restoration to hardware/software designated by the appointed government representative. Instruct users and maintainers on proper operation and maintenance of systems. All detected or known attempts of unapproved hardware/software installations or changes shall be reported to an appointed Government representative immediately. Submit, update and monitor the Help Desk ticketing system for all in-coming requests for service and ensure that all actions taken are properly documented. Support Inspections, Information Assurance and Configuration Management (CM) audits and comply with Information Assurance standards, USAFCENT Standards, and guidance provided by the DoD.

Provide perform hardware RM and PM to maintain the equipment at 90% availability. Submit, update and monitor the Help Desk ticketing system for all in-coming requests for service and ensure that all actions taken are properly documented.

Perform equipment accountability (inventory/positive control), perform analysis and recommend updates, enhancements or replacements to extend the life or improve reliability of the equipment in support of critical equipment or equipment no longer supportable by repair or replacement. Document, identify, remove, relocate, package, track, sanitize, modify, and replace hardware. Receive and ship hardware deliveries. Dispose of property in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation. When property is identified as excess and unserviceable, report the property to the appointed government representative for disposition instructions. Maintain warehouse vehicles and facilities in a safe and clean manner. Transport hardware when required by government appointed representative.

Education/Experience:
Associates of Science degree in Computer Science or related field; 2 years’ experience being equivalent to 1 year of education, DoD 8570 Level I Technical Certification within 60 days of hire, 4+ years of experience in the field or a related area, ITILv3 Certification.
